Beverly & Fairfax

Los Angeles, California

Beverly & Fairfax is an adaptive reuse project that converted a historic theater to a mixed-use development. The ‘Fairfax Theater’ was an Art Deco style theater constructed in 1929. The original façade of the theater was retained and rehabilitated. Five stories were added above the ground floor iconic facade creating 71 market rate apartments. The exterior architecture of the multi-family units expresses a contemporary interpretation of the original Art-Deco theater façade. The project includes 12,000 square feet of ground floor retail, four levels of below-grade parking and a rooftop pool and recreation center. The project provides a gateway to the historic Fairfax District between Beverly and Melrose Boulevards.
